And the beard...The sweater, what a gorgeous colour! And the beard, yes, I can see how that might come in handy.<br /><br />So sorry, though, to hear of the disappearing sewing shops. I know of a few in Toronto and even we, here, in our used-to-be-small-now-middle-sized town have a lovely old and independent fabric and notions store. Of course on the outskirts of our town lay the wasteland of Shopping Malls and Parking Lots but I'm grateful that I don't have to go there... (BTW, your mistake was thinking you could walk in this vast and strange land; I'm always befuddled as to why those parking lots *aren't* made more walkable. I suspect, of course, that it's because the shoppers are not there to buy a spool of thread but a truck load of 'merchandise'...) Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
